tts letting go of ppl stuff

Reading about TTs stuff gives me permission to let go of

a sick A neighbor who blamed us earlier for reporting his

barking dog and some dirt pile he had out in front.  I didnt

get mad at him that day when he came to the house.

But then I really got po'd at him and preceded to tell him

OFF...Well today he was working in the yard so I thought

I would offer up an " Im Sorry for talking to you the way

I did....his reply was " I dont care I dont like you anyway"

I said fine we'll just leave it like that then.  I dont like a

cold war between neighbors but that the way he wants it.

What can u do.  Just go back to ignoring each other.

We didnt report his dog or his dirt pile I dont even

remember it.............Busbe

Well, you're right, nothing you can do. Sounds like you did the big thing, made an overture - if he doesn't want to take you up on it, you have nothing to reproach yourself with.
One of the "things we cannot change" is other people's response to us. We are only reponsible for OUR end o f the exchange, not theirs. I seem to need to be reminded of this on a regular basis....

Very true - I admire your courage to make amends!  What a great thing to do for yourself. And so true - we can only try to our part as best we can.  Great job!
