Our mind and our delusions are formless and colorless. However, our ignorance believing in true existence is harder than a rocky mountain. Our delusions are harder than steel.
- Lama Zopa Rinpoche, "The Door to Satisfaction"
I just thought this was so great I had to share it with y'all. What we project in our mind is much more terrible than what is real and all. I love it when it says "our delusions are harder than steel." No kidding!
would it be too much if i wrote that on a note card and taped it to the visor of my baseball cap, hanging down so it was always there for me to read?!?! lol
today i practiced "doing despite the fear" and got so much done that... guess what? i am not anxious about those things i was putting off anymore
it was such a success because i acknowledged my feelings and acknowledged that many of them were based on "what ifs" and did what i had to do anyway i just let the yucky feelings hang out with me as i crossed one chore after the other off my list
for some of the time i forgot about the pain and twice i felt happy i was so grateful to feel good after such a crappy month of A-drama that i said a gratitude prayer for those 10 minutes of relief good for me!
and i can honestly say that alanon is responsible for my new goal of managing my emotions thank you all for being here!!
