How ironic!!

My A is currently sharing his house with a friend, also an A, whose marriage broke up 4 months ago. My A is trying to be a supportive friend, easing his friend through his heartbreak and trying to help him start his life again.

My A is a binge drinker, the friend drinks daily until he is drunk. While my A is drinking all seems great, they are great company for each other, but when my A decides enough is enough, and stops drinking, he sees what the friend is doing to himself, his life, his children, his extended family and his job. My A is getting frustrated that his friend is doing nothing to help himself or move forward with his life.

This is where my A was at when he came to visit me yesterday, he came looking for answers from me, advice on how he could help his friend. I listened, offered my A a little practical advice. And then I said "Welcome to my life, as it was, when we were together".

My A went silent and soon after, quietly left.

Oh, the irony of it all!

Take Care All!

Feather,

Wow, we always want them to understand, but seems they never hear us. What a eye opener for your A.
Very ironic!
