I love the drives it takes me to get to other meetings. Gives me time to think about what was said before I walk into my house. I have more time to process than a short drive because the moment that I do walk into the house....I get distracted by meaningless stuff around me.
I also, like to take some speaker tapes with me. I have enough time in my drive to hear them sometimes with some of the places I go. I took a six hour road trip once and had about 10 cd's with me. Meeting on wheels!
Good for you! I am glad you were able to get some rest and that the road was safe enough!
Well, I like that, Jewely! I'm trying to rise above the stuff tha't been trying to drag me down. Trying to relax and let HP take care of me. I've been trying to replace negative with good in my thoughts. Hopefully my mouth will follow. My A is still drinking with his buddy at the place he's staying (can tell by the phone calls people he's called who then call me for their own belief that I should know about it). Today it's 7 days since hestarted and I don't think he'll hold out much longer. His pancreass and stomach can't. So when I get that first sober call from him, I hope I can keep my nose where it belongs - in my own business -and let him deal with his own. Someone told me they read where it's like a baby learning to walk - it's something they work to and keep working on it in spite of the falls. They keep on working it with the help of people and whatever other support they need.....jaja
