Quick and easy questions about this board (I think!)

I used to see all the new posts sorted to the top...now it seems each post is "locked" in the order it was orignally started, regardless of when any replies were added.

I kinda liked to see the new posts sorted to the top.  I've dug around for a setting, but can't seem to find it.

Has something changed on the board or am I just missing a setting somewhere?

I also wanted to join in an online meeting, but it kept saying I was disconnected.  Has anyone else had connecting issues and resolved it?

I also was wondering how I can get my post to not have such huge gaps between each new paragraph..many of the other posts here are a nice little one space, but mine, as you can see, are at least a double space.

Thanks in advance

I also liked it when the posts were sorted with newest responses at the top. If there could be a way to choose that, I'd really go for that!

Note to John - another site I spend half my life at uses infopop for the boards - it is the very best I've seen. Don't know if that is available to you, but if so, it's great.

Hi Debi

You can sort the posts by most recent updates at the bottom of the screen where it says "Page __ of ___ sorted by _____" just pull the drop down and pic how you want to sort it.

The way, coming in by most recent posted, is the default way it used to be. For a while it wasnt working correctly and has now been "fixed" as it were.

Not sure what is up with the online meeting but keep trying...when you click to get in there, sit tight, sometimes it takes a while to load up.

I think I am a creature of habit really.  I think John had fixed it back to the way it was before.  Which a month or so ago, I was hoping it would start appearing the way it is today...because I felt like I was missing some of the new posts...they just kept getting kicked further and further down when someone would reply to another post. Now, that it is back to the way I used to be...I am having to retrain myself on it again.  I won't complain though...I will just get used to again.  Hopefully, the more people "post" rather than "reply" will be able to be viewed more.

Ziggy

Just my 2 cents.

I am not sure what to do about chat.  It has been a while since I myself have had any trouble.

To add to what's been said, I believe someone mentioned that this was a "bug?" As I said, some of our more "techno savvy" members can, and indeed I hope they do, correct me here, but I believe that the new arraingement is a computer err somewhere.

I liked it better when it was "broken" these past few weeks. I want to see the most recent activity on top. If a thread has been going on for a week, the head of that thread is going to be on page 2 or page 3 by the default method, even if it was posted to just a minute ago.

I can go select to sort by most recent post, but I have to do it EVERY time I enter the main page of the board. Over and over and over. This should be a user profile setting, or it should at least use a cookie to remember how you had it.

Wow, no idea at all what is going on with the board! <ack!>

I am seeing the newest replies to a post at the top of the post

I imagine it is just a temporary glitch, we have had them before.

As for the spacing in between  the sentences, I too get gaps. What I sometimes do is write a reply in my ms word then copy it in –then I will highlight my whole reply and pick the font and size I want. If I don’t do this I end up with huge font (still it nvr works 100% right in any event for me)
Sorry (lol) this is not an answer you were hoping for, just an example of how I do it

Anyway, hang in there Debi and Ziggy

Wishes, T
