I have this friend who when i write her a email does not write me one back,

The way i handle it is i get mad and say what i think and then i get a email

I feel i dont deserve this type of treat ment do you think i am wrong to say so or should i stop dealing with this person

What do you feel

I feel I can only change me, cannot control anyone else.

For me, I would stop emailing the person. love, debilyn

Right on to what Debilyn says......wouldn't I being giving the person too much power over me if I didn't?

Some people just don't do email, strange but true.

I decided for myself not to bother with them very often.

Glad you're here.

I had a somewhat similar situation Marty. It was with someone that I cared about. So I told her in a very nice way how "I felt" I did it in person rather than email because sometimes things can get misinterpreted via email. Anyway, she has changed because of the way she knew how I "felt" Had she not changed, I would have changed my ways and would have discontinued.

I hope this helps (sounds a lil crypted).

yours in recovery,
Maria123

Why do you e-mail your friend?  Is it because you want to let her know what is going on with you, or so that you you will get a response?

Marty,

Your post reminded me of a situation that I had with a friend of mine.

I met someone online and over the years he and I have emailed back and forth. I got to the point were I just didn't want to talk to him, so I stopped responding to his emails.

He wanted more than a friendship and in the end friendship wasn't enough for him. So I cut off the emails.

Maybe your friend, just doesn't want to talk. Maybe they are really busy. Maybe they don't always check their emails.

Only your friend knows what is going on really.

If I had a friend who ignored my emails, then I would stop emailing them, and email someone who wants to talk to me, or who has the time for me.

Yours in recovery,

Mandy
