Okay well I relate to what you said and I can tell you It "DOES" get better.(for you). In here you will get the strength to change how YOU feel towards your A's. You will learn how to deal with the feelings of Hate, Resentment,(I Imagine you have quite a few)(lol). I had 100's. But Im learning to move on by all that now. I can understand how you feel about your step family, but If you get the help you need In Al-Anon you can begin to help them too.(maybe even get them Into It).
As for your friend If they are still drinking, you migh benifit from being here, to help you cope with that aswell.
So hang about, come join us In the chat room, also we have two meetings a day in here. If you have never been to f2f meetings I recommend you try one.
(I may be wrong here, but I'm getting the Impression you are of a younger age, If I am right, well you got a long way to live yet, get the help you need right now, and DON'T let It destroy your life any longer.
Love To You And Your Family, (You Don't Deserve To Be Going Through All Of This)xx
One thing you can do, without being an agressive controller, is to be there as a positive influence for those step sibs. Takes your focus off the A, and gives you a good place to put some of that energy. All kids, even those in homes without all of this, benefit from another caring, sane, adult.
