Well, it would be great if something went well but that is not how life works. Work sucks. I got into it with a co-worker. Our relationship resembles a bad alcoholic marriage. I think at times it is down right abusive. I thought that I went thru the proper line of authority and wouldn't you know that I got blamed for the problem. What was different is that I made a decision to stand up for myself. I told my supervisor that I wasn't going to take responsibility for things that were not my fault.
I know that I would not be at that point without Alanon. I have learned to stay calmer and protect myself. I feel so much better. Thanks for your support.
Well done Nancy that took a lot of courage. You have unloaded and not accepted other peoples responsibilities. How they handle it now is their problem you have given it back to them. Luv Leo xxx
I am finding I am using my Alanon tools now more than ever at work. Talk about ODAT! I'm glad you stood up for yourself. Way to go! There is no point in tearing our hair out at work. With the upcomming holiday season, retail can be no fun. Unless I find a way to make it fun. That's what Alanon has showed me. I can't change the situations. But I can change how to react to it.
Love and blessings to you and your family.
Live strong,
Karilynn & Pipers Kitty

Friend in al anon was going through a bitter divorce, and the kids were, of course, blaming her. Sponsor told her, "Just wait, and give him enough rope. He'll hang himself."
Well, wouldn't you know it? He introduced his kids to the mistress and their half sibling that was as old as the middle child. He'd been having an affair for 15 of the 30 year marriage.
Just give the co worker clearance and rope to hang herself. She'll do it in just time. And then, enjoy the show.
