How things came to be...

How Things came to be..

My whole world is torn apart because you left me with a broken heart

I thought you loved me, I thought you cared

I knew that you despised me from the look you gave me,and the way you stared

Do you ever wonder about me?

Or how things came to be?

Well, I am older now and I truly cannot thank you for much only for giving me birth

I can thank my Grandparents they are my world, and without them I would not be here on earth

They are my all

They were the ones who picked me up every time I would fall and they were there through it all

Where were you mom when I needed you the most?

You were probably drunk driving down the coast

I want to F.E.A.R. (xxxx everything and run) because I cannot stand your drinking

What good does that do me? I am still here sinking

I will rise about it all in the end because I am strong

Thanks for nothing mom and see you in my dreams

So Long

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((Ash))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Ash that was heart breaking my dear girl, it also shows me what a beautiful spirit you
are to have such heart break from addiction is hell my dear girl.....this I know....I feel it and I watch my children experience what you speak, and the pain I see in them breaks my heart.....

Darlin, you can thank God that you have those two wonderful Grandparents...the sad fact of this disease that some people just never ever get sober....they do not have the power or the strength to fight for thier life......as sad as that is it is a cold hard fact.... It is extermly sad to know someone you love just quits and lives for the addiction....

Ash, you are a young beautiful girl who has her life in front of her and honey, life can be wonderful...this I promise you.....as hard as it is you have to just let your mom be who she is because you have no power.....you do however, have all the power in the world over where your life goes.....

ABSOLUTELY A BEAUTIFUL POEM.....LOVED IT HON!!!!!

Love Ya,
Andrea

I have missed you!
You are right... you ARE strong. Hang in there sweetie.
You have people that love you and care about you. I wish I had your way with words,
every time I try to say something, it gets all jumbled up. Know that you are important and worthwhile just because you are you. Take care of you!

Your poem made me cry. I'm crying because of your pain, and I am crying because I am a mother - and I know what your mother is missing.

Thank you for sharing your poem.
