just some gratitude

i am not sure what has been going on here while i was on vacation. i knew it....i turn my head for one week and everything gets crazy!!! lol it is so difficult being responsible for the whole world!!! but honestly, this site has been a god send. there have been so many nights when i was so lonely and sad and i came here and posted my feelings and got responses. constructive things to do to help myself. sometimes just reading others posts and seeing that the world does not revolve around me was what i needed. when i first came here i posted something about being completly broke. i received a pm from a member who said she had found herself in a similar situation years ago and someone helped her and she offered to help me financially. i was so touched that someone i didn't even know would reach out to me. i didn't accept the money because i didn't need to, i'm used to figuring it out financially. but it really made me feel loved and that i had come to a good place. i have found that underlying feeling of a miracle here and in my f2f meetings. we are all human (even me! imagine that!) and we are sick because of the disease of alcoholism. even still, we have something special here. i am very grateful for this site, for you very wise people and all the help and support i have recieved here in the past few months. thank you all.

Can I join you in gratitude   I almost didn't post my last post, I had so many emotions going on that I couldn't say what I was feeling.  After I did, I thought like any of that made any real sense -- I wasn't going anywhere with any certian thought, but I was trying to hold onto gratitude.

I should have known when I read the responses the next day that there are those who do understand, really understand.  I was so in awe at a couple of responses. I'm so grateful that MIP is here, and for all the wonderful people sharing their ESH.

I second that gratitude!!!  What a miracle we have found.  How wonderful of that lady to offer help financially.  It is angels like that we find in this program, that remind us that we are not alone.  Pay it forward, help someone else, that is the best thing we can do.  It is amazing how many times my horrible experience has turned out to help somone else later going through the same thing (I hope it helped them anyhow).

This board and face to face meetings are an absolute wonderful way of life, if you persist at them both.  I have learned so much here and thanks for being here, everyone!!!

Love, HeidiXXXX
