I notice that next to each member's post there is a description, "Newbie", "Member", "Veteran Member", "Senior Member", and "Service Worker" are the ones I've seen. While they are more or less self explanatory, I don't know what determines the setting. I have changed from newbie to member to veteran member (last I looked) without doing anything and I've only been on the board for less than 2 months.
No big deal, just curious - I couldn't find anything in the site technical info that described these monikers or what they mean.
I assume "service workers" are administrators of the board -- but the other designations just appear to be connected to the length of time you've been a member, or the number of posts, or both -? And "promotion" is automatic.... anyway, I sure became a "veteran" here faster than any other activity in my life.. LOL.
It just has to do with how many posts you have made. That's all. Doesn't signify anything else. An automatic thing that the board itself does. "service workers" are not administrators... they've just posted more than anyone else. LOL

Funny thing is in the old system I would be called a "guru". Yikes! I have so much more learning and growing to do. Wisdom? What wisdom? I'm still searching! I like this so much better.

Gee, I'm glad you asked this question. I have wondered the same thing and just didn't ask. I guess I'll have to tell all of my friends, I'm not as mouthy as they think I am. I'm only a Veteran!! Love this board!
