My mom is here, visiting from out of town. She's making me my favorite dinner tonight. She and I will go tommorrow to visit my daughter at her rehab facility. Daughter is off restriction so we will see a matinee, have dinner, pretty good chance we'll end up at Walmart.
I have really leaned on my mom, bros, sisters, grown neices and nephews, and close friends during this time of crisis and change with my daughter. No one knows me or my daughter better, and no one is more in our court. It's ok to ask for help. I can repay someday, when one of them needs me. As I work Alanon, at this point - I use the strength of family as my HP.
If anyone of you have a supportive mom or family member that you haven't talked with in awhile - call them today? My guess is that they'll listen. And be glad to hear from you.
Feeling blessed with mom's famous meatloaf and blueberry muffins, Kabbie
You are very lucky to have a mother like that. Sometimes I wish my mom was as caring as yours, but you know what I accept what God has given me. I WILL CONTINUE TO KEEP your daughter in my prayers. I THINK I will call my mom now and tell her that I love her.

What a wonderful inspiring post. Yes, family is so very important. It sounds like you very much appreciate yours - our lives our so precious and short, it is important to call and keep in touch. You have inspired me to call my brother this weekend. He never calls me so I probably take it personally and don't call him. He is a lonely soul.
I will pray for your daughter and your family, and you of course!!! Have a great weekend....
