Good morning family. I got up early this morning and was dusting. I came across a box that hubby made for me in rehab 2 years ago as part of his art therapy. Now of course it has a pumpkin on it and it is filled with little pumpkins. But he also filled it with some amazing quotes. Dolphin's post made me think about one of them. But I'd like to share the rest of them with you. Funny how when I look at those quotes now vs. 2 years ago what they mean to me then and now. It's been a long hard struggle for both, but the quotes are timeless.
(I have no idea who said these or when, but it was from a books of quotes, if any of you know who I liked to know.)
"Giving is so often thought of in terms of the things we give. But our greatest giving is of our time, kindness, and comfort for those who need it. We look at these gifts as unimportant - until we need them."
"The supreme happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved."
"To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides."
"Life can nothing better send than a kind and faithful friend."
"Crying only a little bit is no use. You must cry until your pillow is soaked. Then you can get up and laugh."
"Reinforce the stitch that binds us, and I will do the same for you."
"If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?"
"Walk away from it until you are stronger. All problems will be there when you get back, but you'll be better able to cope."
"Hold a true friend with both your hands."
"A true friend is one who tell you when there is spinach stuck to your teeth."
Love and blessings to you all. Have a wonderful day.
Live strong,
Karilynn & Pipers Kitty

Thanks so much, these are great. I especially love the one about the soaked pillow, then you can get up and laugh! And the one about walking away, the problem will still be there and I will be better able to deal with it.
Have a great day yourself, and thanks for sharing this.
"Walk away from it until you are stronger. All problems will be there when you get back, but you'll be better able to cope."
This one is the one that gave me food for thought the most. I have noticed lately if I take a step back from the things that are getting under my skin. Then I go back to them things aren't always as bad as they seem at the time or they might be but I have the peace of mind to deal with it.
I am a lover of quotes and these are no exception. Thank you so much! Each of them can hold a special and unique meaning to each of those who read them. I loved them all.....how very wonderful that your hubby put those in a box for you. He must be a very caring and sensitive man.....great qualities!
