A very sad week

Lots has happened since I last posted.  First I want to start with the positive stuff.  I thought very hard about my marriage and decided I didn't want to give up yet.  I asked my H to stay and give us another chance.

Now the sad, Tuesday I got a call that my 31 year old A brother was killed in a motorcycle accident.  Of course he was drinking and driving extremely fast and living his life the way he always did....to the fullest.  He was so much more than just my step-brother.  He was my best friend and we just had this bond that can't even be explained.

Now is where I thank all of my AlAnon friends for everything I have learned over the last 2 years.  Because of AlAnon I was able to reconnect with him and not feel the need to nag and control him.  And I have developed a relationship with my HP because of guidance from AlAnon.  I know that I have this awesome guardian angel watching over me now....he has sent so many signs already that he is with me always.  My first thoughts after finding out were "He still owes me a sky diving trip he promised me"....and you wouldn't believe the amount of small planes that have flown very low and directly over me in the last 3 days!!! I didn't even get it until I saw the 3rd one, which was at the cemetary the day after the funeral, and I could hear his voice telling me to quit my crying and get home to my family!! More than anything I am very thankful that no one else was hurt because of his poor choices, and that he didn't suffer.  Please keep my family in your prayers as we heal from our loss.

I am so sorry for your loss.  A close friend of mine at work was run into on the interstate last week.  He is badly injured, but will pull through.  Motorcycles are dangerous under any circumstance these days.  It is unfortunate.

My prayers are with you and your family.

My prayers and heart are with you and your family at this very sad time in your life.  Your strength is good and to be able to thank Alanon is huge.  I am so glad you saw the signs from your brother.  I believe in those signs.  You have been blessed to have such a wonderful connection with him while he was here.

Love and much support....

Tish, You have my deepest sympathy.   I too received "signs" immediately after my brother died tragically.   I even carried on short conversations with him and the signs would come.   Sounds a little goofy, but I swear it's true.

Peace,

Mspeewee
