Celebrating my growth in Alanon

It has been almost 6 weeks since my A husband and I were talking.  We have been here many times and in the past it is around this time I start getting weak.  I would be so devastated when my husband and I would argue and he would demand that I leave and tell me he wanted a divorce.  He would then go weeks without calling me, leaving me to think that he didn't love me.  After weeks of not talking to me he would call and I would allow him to suck me right back into the chaos.  I would be so desperate by that point that I was willing to put up with his unacceptable behavior.

Well, this time I feel so much stronger.  I will not put up with unacceptable behavior and I will not allow myself to be sucked back into the insanity.  It has taken me two years but I know that I have had enough.  I am finally experiencing true growth in the program.  Once I finally Let Go and Let God a huge burden was lifted from my shoulders.  I feel so much more at peace now.  I know that my journey has just begun but I am so much more prepared.  Thank you Alanon.

Hi Julie

Congratulations on your growth in alanon.

Good for you getting stronger and protecting yourself.

It took me a very long time to leave my alcoholic husband. When I read back on my posts and what I put up with I say a prayer of thanks that I have regained sanity in my life.

This program really works if you work it, way to go!

((((((((((((JulieLynn))))))))))),

This is what the program is albout: getting stronger.  You sound so much healthier now than when you first came here.  You are a great example.  Keep up the great work.  I'm proud of you.

Live strong,

Karilynn & Pipers Kitty
