Today is hubby's 47th birthday! It was a nice day. Pipers Kitty brought her Dad a big fat mole for breakfast! (Guess who cleaned up that one!
He did the laundry this morning. Hey, I offered, honest I did. I did the other chores.
We had planned to go fishing, but the weather didn't cooperate. Oh well. So we took a lazy morning and just puttered. Normally we are both the consumate planners that we would have planned things down to the minute. He's a type A personality and I'm a type A- personality. So that shows growth for both of us.
We took the afternoon and went for a drive looking for garage sales. Then we stopped at my nieces to say hi. Oh why do they have to grow up so fast? I then took him to a great restaurant that serves real Southern cuisine. It's a very plain place, but man oh man can they make corn bread! He is now in bed . He has to go on an intervention tonight. He figures that if somebody hadn't helped him, he never would have made it to his 47th birthday. He picked up his 90 coin yesterday (a few days late) and has added it to his others. Who'd have thunk it possible?
So while the day didn't go as we had planned, we had a good time. We spotted a gorgeuos house for rent when we were driving around. Problem is, is that it is in a really drug invested bad part of town. But it'd be so perfect. We still might call on it. Have to think about it.
Tonight, I'm taking a long bubble path. No Pipers will not jump in, despite her love of water. She'll probably just sit on the edge. Then off to bed early, as I work the rest of the weekend. I am so ready for back-to-school to be over. Great for business, but exhausting.
Just wanted to share some good news and hope. It wasn't the day we had planned, but it was still fun.
Love and blessings to all of you. Make it a great weekend.
Live strong,
Karilynn & Pipers Kitty

How wonderful, Kari! I love days just spent puttering around the house. I hardly ever get cabin fever, because I don't feel like I even get enough time at home, with working so much!
Glad too that Hubby had a good birthday!
How sweet it is to get a nice relaxed post from you. I can almost feel the relaxation in the air!
Hugs to you, hubby and Pipers. You must feel truly blessed, and you are! Miracles are everywhere.
