Mother's Day

As I started thinking of Mother's Day, I started thinking of everyday.  We all hear "one day at a time" but do we follow with what it means.  Most of you know this is most likely my last mother's day with my mother.  Everytime I see her, talk to her, or think of her, my heart is filled with love and appreciation for who she is.  I want to feel that way about every person in my life.  I want to care about them openly, be able to share with them, and cherish and honor them.  I have asked om my HP for strength and understanding of the life cycle.  Tomorrow will be a day I will hold next to my heart for the rest of my life.  I want to live each day like that.  One day at a time, no matter how trival the day seems, we only get that one day once.  Happy Mother's Day to all of you moms.

Hugs Mary

Sounds like a life lesson to me :)
Lessons come to us from every situation, we just have to see them.
Yours is a wonderful one..

((((((((((((Mary))))))))))))),

Enjoy the time you have with your mother.  Remember it isn't how long you spend time together, it's what you do with that time when you're together.  Cheerish the moments, as I did with mine.  Give her a hug for me.  Happy Mother's Day to the both of you.

Love and blessings to you and your family.

Live strong,

Karilynn

I know what you are saying about "one day at a time".It asks us to be present in today. That is so important.

My mom is 90.I know could lose her any time and this could be my last mother's day with her. And, like you, I have come to appreciate her and the way she has lived her life. She and I are the only non- A's in a family of 7 children.I guess I got more of her genes than the others did.She never found Alanon but she managed to live her life giving all she had to give to her kids.Loving them no matter what.Yet always with dignity and strength. She's a true lady.Something you don't see much anymore. No dirty jokes or foul language in her presence. She taught me how to be a lady and I am grateful for that (even if there aren't many gentlemen around to appreciate it.)

Thanks for your post.I have been praying for you and your precious mom.
