The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
In today's reading, the author shares about the struggle to separate their will from their HP's will. Sometimes, a desperate urge to act can be an indication that it is the authors will, while a calm certainty indicates their HP's will. When there isn't a clear indication, the author can wait, seek the wisdom of others, or just make a choice and wait to see what happens. Regardless, since the author turned their will over to the care of their HP, they can be certain that any act can be used to carry out their HP's will.
Today's Reminder: Today I will remember the uncertainty is not a fault but an opportunity. Everything I do and everything that crosses my path - people, situations, ideas - all have the potential to contribute to my growth and understanding. Just for today, I don't have to know what the combination will be.
Today's Quote: "There lives more faith in honest doubt, Believe me, than in half the creeds." Alfred, Lord Tennyson

Today's reading remembers of one of my favorite Al-Anon slogans, when in doubt, don't. waiting for more clarity is a tool that I use nearly every day, and one that helps me be confident in my motives and my actions.

I'm slowly but surely beginning to ignore that anxiety/urgency to do something or make a decision in the heat of the moment. When I'm able to step back and take a bit of time it's like the answers/solutions seem to come easy.
I'm not sure if that's my HP or not but it sure feels like it sometimes.
Have a good day/evening or whatever it is wherever you all are who read this.
Thanks Skorpi for your service and for above ESH. I might add that uncertainty is also a part of life that will always be around. The healthier I become, the easier it is for me to accept it, and the better I'm getting at pausing and thinking. I used to be in an urgent frantic state to resolve things. That's no way to live! Time takes time.
Good Afternoon on this gorgeous Thursday. Thank you Skorpi for making time to post the daily even though your life is super busy. " If in doubt, don't " has saved my bacon more times than I care to count. It's especially useful because I have (had?) a tendency to blurt out the first thing that pops into my head and it is usually dripping with sarcasm. By stepping back, I find a kinder way to deliver my message and at times the problem resolves itself. Thank you Sunnyfrog and Lyne for your shares. Have a great day.
