Each one of us is precious.

aww I think that this is a part of my Step 12.

I wrote this this morning as a part of a facebook forum: Growing up in New Zealand.

The producer of the short movie below- is clearly an adult child in his work. This year he actually

picked up an Oscar in America!.

You really don't grow up- in a situation like this- it's a stand-still place.
This was my story- with brothers and sisters in Central Otago. In Central Otago a pub is a horse ride away from the next one.
When mum and dad and uncles and aunts get home we find that pubs aren't a fun place. Not really.
We were not a "Once For Warriors" family. Very much the opposite.
Four boys in our family and four boy cousins. We would top and tail in our two sets of bunks. Smallest kid with the biggest.
I have got a mate from northern Taranaki. During the cold damp winters they had army great coats. Stick the feet down the sleeves and pull up the tails for a blanket.
All of our boy cousins turned out to be gay.
They more or less ended up working in the sex trade.
There is only one still with us, and s/he is doing okay.
We were warriors. 12 relations fought for the nation. Air force, Army and Navy. Maori Battalion. Done their bit.
So what were baby boomers jumping up and down about?
You are still reading this...??? If I met you in person... we might anchor to each other for a short while. Maybe weep on each other's shoulders. maybe laugh- and sing, as well... over time.
Life is so precious.
Tama tu, tama ora, tama noho, tama mate-

So David, it's a busy morning for me but I decided to take a look at the movie you posted. It's such a realistic, beautiful, and painful story. Thanks for sharing.
