We are healed of a suffering only be experiencing it in full. ---Marcel Proust
Hi everyone!!! Happy Thanksgiving coming up: Author in this daily talks about never should we forget our past...WE need to be mindful of the power our disease has over us and still has...so we can remember how we got into these rooms...so we can share our stories
WE need to remember how we acted, treated others, so we don't keep repeating..Most of us had toxic or even bad relationships with others, even friends, family and perhaps the worse dysfunctional relationship is with ourselves...we need to not forget the lonliness, so our recovery, as we work our program will grow stronger....
Prayer for the Day: Higher Power, help me always remember how my illness almost destroyed me. Help me face the pain of these memories.
Action for the Day: I will talk about my past life with those who support my recovery. I will tell them what it is that I must remember about my past.

There is no chance I will EVER 4get my past...it was too dark...too near fatal for me to ever forget, so OK....HOW do I reverse the evil done to me??? HOW do I make this evil a good thing?? a thing of light??? a thing that can be a blessing to another???? SHARE....reach out....give my ESH to others so they know they are not alone...that they are understood and accepted as they are....I also don't ever want to 4get what an angry, abrasive, pushy, judging, ball of anger I was...I drove people away with my anger and my neediness to be heard, to be loved, to be nurtured...like i was the "only one to suffer in life" now I see that the darkness has touched so many of us....we all have something which we wish never happened, but it DID happen and "wishing it away " isn't going to fix it...remembering...working through the pain/anger/grief" is the only way to finally accepting it and making my peace with it, so I can re-parent myself and offer support to others...I went from victim, to survivor and NOW, honestly I can say I am between survivor and thriver ..I am thriving because I CAN and DO help others....
