Darn... got caught out...

 Hi y'all...

got along to the neighbouring meeting again. As a kid ah were real goody-two-shoes.... I have been to single meetings when travelling- which I have appreciated. But generally if I go to local meeting I will go to three or four at  time. Going in cold... nah... it does take time to trust and bond- in the good old Alanon way...

...etc etc...

anyway it was a good meeting- getting face to face with members after so much time online... the luxury of attending a meeting from home...

...and this group right there IS my home group- getting to really enjoy being here. biggrin ...

It IS NOT online or face to face. No 'my way or the doorway'. My way or the highway.

Our neighbouring town has a blossom festival at the end of this month- and our daughter is on the committee. It was actually the town we were supposed to hate, when I was a youth. Ah did go to school there for two years- but it still felt a bit foreign.

Anyway someone put the keys in my hand and asked me to chair the meeting next week!

How dare they! biggrin...

Even showed me where the banners and book were kept- the key to the whole building!

OMG! biggrin ...

Hi David-I think each of us find a way to work our program in the manner that suits us best. That's why I like the words in our closing, take what you like and leave the rest. Lyne :)

Hi David, I chuckled at someone handing you the keys to the meeting place. That has happened to me too. I still have the key, and am looking for someone to hand it over to. I call it the "key to serenity."

Good for you David! I hope you enjoy your service opportunity. I too have been handed the key and I too have had to seek another to give it to once upon a time. Keep working it - looks good on you!
