Planning my day

my day may look like this,or???(it's not always easy for me to plan my day,if I stick to the simple ,basics it just might go lots smoother on my crazy day.

wake up 6-7 am

morning routine ( put coffee on,read all dailies, serenity prayer several times, meditate and prayer, mip meeting 8 am( my time)

G&A ,and keep contact with my sponsor ),

on through the day I clean house, make dr appointments, drive whoever needs a ride to places,

cook my lunch and enough for supper,

if  go out I make sure I'm in before dark time ,

i talk on phone, work off my computer,

get ready for bed,pj on..

prayer, listen or read or both anything alanon,or spiritual, music.

 Shower

lights out.

wala,my days pretty much full,

I didn't realize until I got it all jotted down, just how much I done in a day,

its really not a lot,

Seems I'm slower than used to be.

im grateful I can plan a day ,today

everyone have a great ,blessed, enjoy your day today..............in recovery Lookingup

 P.s. A thought,

just thinking I could trim, cut and carve on my days

by cutting back on my internet time, not having so much coffee time, and limiting my visiting time with freinds.

by allowing myself x amt of time on each I can free up my days for other important things,

just have to get better at planning,,exercise is in there to,that could be increased Time.

im enjoying this planning my day thing,it's new to me or more I'm just waking up to it and the idea of it.

never before did I notice it around,I have a way of skipping over things,I do.

i also plan my dr visits far apart,at onece upon a time I'd plan all them in one week thus overloading my days.

can no more do that,so I spread my appointments from week to week.writeing them down on my calendar ,which I check from day to day.and do it.

planning my day can be fun,and help keep me centered In my program here,

i know it's gonna take practice ,lots of it.

progress not perfection..............looking up

After typing all this down and reviewing it ,
Im wondering where all my time has gone to in the day for I'm rushed,in a hurry always, can't get enough time to get things done,,then there's always something new comes up that needs to be dealt with..
Am I chasing my tail ,seems to me.

Hi LU. I love the way you put your appointments far apart. I just cancelled one of mine due to it being on the wrong day and sinus junk. By wrong day I mean Monday is my day. I usually catch it in time. This one I did not. Monday is my day to regroup after the weekend of "people." It is the day I use to relax, look back over the weekend, read, pray, meditate and so forth. It is also a day I pick up and clean up some more when it's quiet. I can put my music on and enjoy the day. It helps me set the "tone" for the week.

That's as far as I've gotten. Monday LOL! The rest is still come what may till I get further along in this.

Hugs!!

Routines can be such a blessing. Towards his later years, my Dad used to tell me to also do something good for myself every day. I'm now in the habit of asking myself each day what that something good is, and, if I can't identify anything, I make a cup of tea, and watch a movie, read, or chat with a friend.

I function much better with a routine! Good for you LU that you've got a plan, just for today, and are feeling 'it'....enjoy the day!!!

Thank you tude and bud for sharing ,
I tend to want to procastrinate to,sinus problems are real,
Have to constant remind myself that it's progress not perfection,,that slogan has lots of meaning to it,has bailed me out a few.

((LU)) great decision I do believe in listing my plan for the day because , as you discovered, I find that i often neglect a project of spend too much time do another. Writing it all down helps me to see what I am doing so as to not go on automatic and neglect important tasks
I agree with Bud, providing myself with a "Fun " activity is essential
Thanks for sharing the journey

Fun is something that just hit me this morning after reading Hope For Today this morning. Life feels more fun but it's different than play....I love the share to write all down also! I am easily distracted when doing the not so fun things lol.
