.(Morning Meetings)
Mon. - Fri. at 9am eastern time
Sat - Sun. - 10am eastern time
 .(Nite Meetings)
Mon - Saturday 9PM eastern time
Sunday 7PM eastern time

Hope you will come to meetings & join us.

The website link to the group meeting room is http://www.12stepforums.net/chatroom2.html. There are other ways to join the room also. Using mIRC or other chat client, the server we use is irc.chat4all.org, port 6667 which users will need to add to their IRC server list, and our room name (#alanonchat) to their IRC channels.

Could this info. Be placed at the top of the message board so it is always there? I have no clue what mIRC is or other chat servers and I would love to have the meeting times and link to join available everyday. Thanks, Lyne

I logged in for a meeting tonight but left after 10 minutes because nobody else showed up.I was very disappointed,I really felt I needed a meeting tonight.  It happened one morning also when I tried going to one.

1)Are there still morning meetings?
2.)How does this all work,deciding who chairs?
3.)Are meetings just a hit and miss thing,sometimes there's one and sometimes not,depending on whether anyone shows up or not?
4).If the chair will not be able to attend or a meeting is cancelled,is it announced anywhere?

Sometimes it's difficult to fit a meeting in so I have to plan for them ahead of time,but obviously that doesn't always work out,such as tonight.  Is there other info about the meetings that I have overlooked?

Something is wrong. There's no one but me in there now. I'll hop back in -I kept logging in and out to see if anyone else was in. I've NEVER seen it empty.

The message Board and the Chat room / meetings room are stand alone programs so that information as to the meeting changes  etc. can be found on the following  link   http://meetinginfo.activeboard.com/.

Good Morning I received this response regarding the meetings


I had a schedule change for work so I did not chair Friday night through Monday morning of last week. It isn't settled yet if that was a one-time assignment or will be a regular one. I apologize for any disruption it caused.

Anyone with six months experience in Al-Anon meetings is welcome to chair if the meeting hasn't started and it's say 15 minutes past starting time. It's fine to open & close with the Serenity Prayer. The meeting schedule is still the same.

(Morning Meetings)
Mon. - Fri. at 9am eastern time
Sat - Sun. - 10am eastern time
(Night Meetings)
Mon -Saturday 9PM eastern time
Sunday 7PM eastern time

Thank you courage for posting this,thank you for chairing morning and nightly meetings,
Thank you Betty ,I can chair any meeting opening with serenity prayer and closing in with same,
I'm working off an older version iPad,so can't get to the scripts ,or I don't know how it works ,
It would be a honor to get to chair anytime,

P.s. I'm better at filling in when chair person is out,
Working on getting back centered with everything going on,
Anytime will work,wherever you need me to be is where I should be...

I can't get into mIRC as it's for Windows computers :'( How can I join in or is it not used anymore?

PinkInk - It is still used. I am not helpful beyond that - I was not aware it was for Windows Only. I have Windows on my laptop so have access...Maybe someone who knows more will stop by and give some support!

Pink Ink - according to this (quick google search), it does not run on Mac platform and there are no plans for it to do so.

I am also not aware if Mirc is available for mobile devices.  Just FYI so you're not out chasing something that's not an option...

You should be able to access the meetings at any time at this link. MIRC is not a requirement.

Thanks, as always, Courage, for posting the times. My schedule is kind of crazy right now but should settle down next week. The daytime meetings look better for me because I work evenings. I miss them and I should be appearing at some soon. Thanks again for all the info.

Good to see you Tude. As best I know, no. The meeting/chat room is no longer functioning as it was. It's become a bit of just a drop by and chat if/when another is present. We made an effort (business board) to rejuvenate, yet had no members interested in being of service. Hope this helps!
