As I began to post, I told my husband how all of you were so supportive and prayed for us both throughout the last month.
He said: Please tell them that I am very grateful and that I sure do appreciate their prayers, I believe it worked.
He is still pretty frail but in good spirits. It was a absolutely beautiful day here today, sunny and about 65 degrees. My A was so glad to feel the sun and breathe fresh air. He certainly has regained some of his humor! As the tech wheeled him outside she commented on what a nice day it was...My A said, Yeah it sure is, I should have my Speedos on, then I could stand here and flex for ya...lol That is hysterical if you could see him..Nuthin but skin and bones.
The Dr. called me this morning and explained the med changes to me and I asked him about A's slight confusion. Dr. said it is possible that he has some brain damage (gulp). I guess we'll just have to wait this out too. It's nothing I can't live with.
He gets confused as to what time he took his meds, the timeline of his hospital stay etc. Our oldest daughter called to remind us her husband's birthday is tomorrow. Hubby asked me a while later what I got our grandson for his b-day tomorrow. I told him it is son-in-laws b-day, not grandson's and he said, "OK, I'm still confuzzled, huh?". So, at least he has a good attitude about it, for now anyway.
His boss dropped by the house today with an envelope that said A had gotten a raise, so that was nice too. He also told me that if A can't go back to work, perm disability through his job pays 90%. That was a relief too.
Ya know, I think we're gonna be OK :) *crosses fingers*
Love you all!!!!! (((big hugs)))) Christy

power of prayer really is something. Give your hubby a big wet one for me, tell him he shoulda expected nothing less from a mastiff. love you, and am very happy to hear the great news, trina
Glad to hear husband is home. I am sure he will be fine. Just give it sometime. My A was confused still for few weeks after coming home from the hospital. It takes time for the heavy doses of meds they get in the hospital to clear out of their systems especially when their livers are not totally working up to par. Was worried for awhile that AH had brain damage and that he might end up in a nursing home but all turned out well.
