Nice topic/ I do know how great it is to regain a sense of self esteem and self worth!!!! When I began to define my principles once again and then decided to place "principles above personalities", and stop" reacting" I regained a powerful sense of "Poise" and dignity--This was not my inflated "EGO type of strutting about, but a genuine sense of self worth-no one could take away and I refused to ever abandon again.
Thank God for alanon and alanon for GOD.
Thanks Debb - I look at poise as grace with dignity. Before this program, I was so crazily wrapped around this disease and my diseased qualifiers, I reacted to match their actions, or over-reacted because of fear and chaos. As I've worked this program and worked the steps, I've gained peace in my heart. As I've owned my part and 'see' how I contributed, I've been able to identify who I want to be and how I want to act.
I agree with Betty - having strength in myself and faith in my HP to lead me has given me self-confidence that was stuffed way, way down. This has given me the ability to realize I matter, and so do they. I am way better than before at having composure in times of uncertainty, and I am grateful for the grace I've been given resulting from this program and my HP.
Have a super Halloween to one and all - (((Hugs)))...
