Dear Lord,

So far today,I am doing alright.

I have not gossipped,lost my temper,been greedy,nasty,selfish or self-indulgent.

I have not whined,complained,cursed,or eaten any cakes or chocolate.

I have charged absolutely nothing to my credit/debit card.

But....I will be getting out of bed in a minute,and I think I will really need your help then!!!!!!

u r so cute!  I lost my cool today in chat, seems like lately A's are wandering in & trying to disturb our serenity...  well today it was my turn to blow my cool!    Others talked me down & I did start calming down.


I use an Orthodox prayer book & say this prayer everyday, it's one of my very favorites, i've posted it a couple months ago but thought u might like it now!


A Prayer at the Beginning of the Day


O, Lord, allow me to greet the coming day in peace.  Help me in all things to rely upon Your holy will. In every hour of the day, reveal Your will to me. Bless my dealings with all how surround me. Teach me to treat all that comes to me throughout the day with peace of soul, and with the firm conviction  that Your will governs all. In what I do and say, guide my thoughts and feelings.  In unexpected events, do not let me forget that all things are sent by You. Teach me to act firmly and wisely, without making others bitter or embarrassing them. Give me the strength to bear the fatigue of the coming day and everything that it will bring. Direct my will, teach me to pray, pray Yourself in me. Amen.
