The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
I went to an Al-anon workshop this morning. (It was very good btw too short)
I saw one of the people I plan to ask to be my sponsor there. I told her it had been a rough week but I've been working and that I had something i needed to talk to her about. Since she is the one who in our last very small meeting said " I LOVE to sponsor people" I know she's willing. I just have to ask. I am almost ready.
I am very proud of me.

Your HP is holding your hand ladybug! It is scary reaching
out and asking for help. That is a very tough thing to do when
We like to think of ourselves as strong and self sufficient.
In reality we are hurting and need help from others And Your
HP. I was at rock bottom when i showed up at doors of alanon.
From the ODAAT...don't remember the page just the message which was mine when I needed to hear it. "Courage is fear that has said its prayers"...Try thinking on that for a bit. Go LB!!...
Its great to hear you enjoyed the workshop, good for you. As for the sponsor thing. I didnt get a sponsor until i was over a year in. I didnt really knkw much about what to do with a sponsor or why i needed one. i just let it soak in for a while through listening and reading. My sponsor is great mind you, she and i talk weekly and she always seems to say something i needed to hear. The opportunity will come when it comes, in the meantime, dont fret about it, it will happen, maybe when your ready. Enjoy your meetings, your doing great.x
Way to go!!! I'm so happy that you reached out! You will ask someone to be your sponsor when it feels right, and that timing will be right. (((hugs)))
