The C2C reading for today speaks about faith and practicing the third step. It points out that both take time and practice.
It suggests that the third step is an ongoing process.
I know when I came in to the Al-Anon rooms, I was in a terrible crisis with no place else to go. I picked up the powerful tools I was offered , and anxiously preceded to use them.
Slowly but surely I began to feel better as my faith understanding and acceptance grew firmer within. I may believe that I finished the third step but the program suggests that we go deeper.
That each morning when we awake we turn our will and life over. We should also do this before each action that we plan to take, each telephone call we make and respond to, and every time we speak. Not only should we pray for guidance, but we should also listen for the answer before we act.
The reading points out that we will create greater spiritual awareness by becoming willing to receive guidance and that we should actively include our HP more of our actions each day.
The quote is from Al-Anon 12 steps. Step three suggests that I teach myself from this moment on to be receptive, to open myself to help from my HP
