My husband is being released tomorrow and is willing to do an out pt. rehab program along w/AA.. I've called the insurance company and got the names of several addiction specialists..the rest is up to him. I doubt he'll be going anywhere for at least a week as he is very sick and puny still. Because of the pneumonia and being in bed for 10 days he gets winded walking 5 ft. to the hospital bathroom. His liver enzymes were up yesterday but Dr. said he believes that is due to the gazillion meds he is taking. Wish us luck!! I'm gearing up for the crabbiness..lol I was going to say anything is better then a drunk, but I better not speak too soon. I know I'm in for it and it's not going to be easy street for either of us. Hubby says "we'll make it". :)
Thank you all for caring through this rough time. Christy

great christy , but sobriety like u said is not easy nor is it okay to have the A take his bad moods out on you.stick to your boundaries I told my husb i was sorry he ws having a rough time but that I didnt appreciate his attitude either. Remember u are not the reason he drank and your not going to be the reason he starts again if he chooses to.
Humor helps alot in this crazy transition time , don't take things too personally and enjoy . keep Your expectations low and you will be just fine. This prog works drunk or sober do what it suggests and all will go much more smoothly.
Applaude his efforts but keep the focus on your needs . good luck
(((((((((((cujo))))))))))) I've been praying for you all week and I'm so glad your hubby is able to come home tommorow. I love ya girl, you've been a rock for me since the day I found the chat room. I'll be here for you and continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support. It meant so much to me. I know that HP hears our prayers and by HP's grace hubby is alive. Thank you for sending those prayers :)
love you all, Christy
