I am really discovering how important my friendships are these days. Not that I really didn't realize what they mean to me. I just know that is very easy for me to be a friend & have very meaningful friendships. Recently through this program, I started to finally get to know my neighbor of 15 years. I really don't know why I never did before except maybe some differences in our way of life. Now that I know we have things in common, I can see how our friendship can grow. Al anon is really bringing us closer to. She is basically a newcomer w/ lots of questions. I try to my best ability, to answer the questions that I feel I know something about.

Now there are many others in my life whom I cherish both in & out of the program. I cannot count all of them. I just know there are many. God has blessed me w/ the ability to easily understand & accept most of the things that they go through. I guess I am just fortunate in that way.

If it weren't for Al anon, I wouldn't probably be able to be approachable & confident.

Thank you Al anon for making me be the person I am & showing me how to be there for others.
