Happy Thanksgiving MIP and it's been a while....

Hello everyone--

It's been a long time since I've posted, although I come to these boards and learn from all of you each time I do.  I wanted to share how grateful I am to have found this site (thank you John); which led me to online meetings, which led me to a sponsor who has helped me immensely, which led me to F2F meetings and working the steps and my program.

I am healthier today than about 2 years ago when I came here for the first time, but I am a work in progress and go at it each day.  I still find myself getting into other people's business, not focusing on myself, thinking I know better--like I said, a work in progress!

For those of you in the midst of a split from your A, I want to offer that as difficult as it can be, it gets better each day and although there will always be sadness associated with the end of my marriage, I am also living a much more calm, serene and peaceful life today.

This is a thank you post--for all of you that are here and have helped me so much on this journey.  Wishing all of you a happy Thanksgiving with your loved ones!

Your share is a definite 12 Step work to me.  To remember when I met you at MIP and to see how much you've grown through some really tough times according to Al-Anon program principles puts flesh to the bones of:  "If you keep an open mind, you will find help."  Glad to see you here, sister.  You are most certainly a miracle in progress.
