I am struggling w/ the right words to say on here sometimes. I always want to say something profound & meaningful. I always wonder if I am saying something that may not be approved. I just guess I will wing it. I have been thinking about my Papa lately. He is on my mind especially this time of year. Actually one of the last times I talked to him was Thanksgiving. He chose to spend the holiday alone which tore me up inside. So, I am thinking about a quote that I read in a book. It goes like this: The best inheritance a father can leave his children is a good example. And for the most part, he did! Some things he didn't do right of course but I forgive him for the mistakes he made especially to me. I won't go into any details as I don't want to taint his memory. I just know that I loved him & learned to respect him as I got older & wiser of course.
Experience really pays off when you don't know what to say. If you did it wrong the last time, don't do it again, right?
We often do learn from our mistakes. I guess I will be learning the rest of my life. I won't stop making mistakes once in awhile. Like my husband always says, if we didn't make mistakes there would be no eraser on a pencil. Something like that.
So, I will stop here. For everyone out there who wants to celebrate: Have a very Happy & safe Thanksgiving. Have something to be grateful for. I might not be able to share w/ you until after then.
I will have a great Thanksgiving holiday especially with 2 days off this week. Have a great turkey day too! Sending you love and support on your journey always!

Hi Kathleen. When I read your post, I thought of the slogan, "progress not perfection." I know I make mistakes every day. I pray to God for guidance and wisdom to learn and not repeat the same mistakes. As long as I am making progress, then I'm moving forward.
I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
It works if you work it.
