What did I do in caring for me TODAY????

TODAY

I slept in and stayed warm on my day off, curled up in my blankets dreaming of happy things

did laundry for my pets, washed their favorite towels on which they cuddle during cold season

jacked up the heat JUST a BIT to treat me while I did my laundry

Made myself a GREAT shake, now with peanut butter in it for that extra protein and flavor...YUMMMMMMM

watched some good videos that i had gotten off you tube

sitting in my nice toasty warm bedroom with space heater on low (keeps heating costs down a lot) and i am nice and warm

did my nails

now ready to do my workout on my eliptical and my resistance training for my arms and pecs.......

THEN it will be a nice warm, soapy,  soakie in the tub

All good things to do on a colder Fall day in Texas. They all sound good to me as I read your words and watch snow swirling and ceasing and swirling again outside my living room window. It offers me the illusion of being grounded solidly in a snow globe while something outside of me shakes things up and moves other forms about.

I am all in with you!
Your post sounded so good. Lots of pampering to yourself because you are worth it and deserve some special time.

Oh, that sounds wonderful!!! I didn't do much for myself today. I did work out on the elliptical for a half hour and then took the dog for a walk, I guess that counts, LOL!

I am also going to a meeting later tonight and that is something I consider an act of service to myself, as well!

Grateful, i think we are in (hearing it from everyone) for another brutal winter....that new door of mine, i am less complaining about the credit card, lol, as i see how that thing is keeping my heat in and cold out...its gonna be in low to mid 20's tonight??? and it aint even thanksgiving yet...i think last year we had a cold snap in nov, but i don't remember it being this bad.....plus we had that cooler then normal summer....i wrapped my faucets, outside, in towells, tied them with shoestrings, stuck a bucket over them and hopin they will be ok.....it worked last year....this is worrisome....this is the SOUTH and we are freezing already???  oh yea, next fri., and sat, it will jump back to the 60's, but geeez......i hear NE is supposed to get what we got now.....it came from alaska.....i remember winters here where we wore shorts on some days......hope this bad winters cycle ends...last years winter was horrible........stay warm my friend.......we had very little actual snow or sleet last year...just real low temps.......i think we had one snow storm maybe two where i had to shift my schedule re: work......hate this stuff...
