Oh dear, my poor boy...

Bowie's new accessory.

It works  great for halloween, everyone is calling him hannibal. He doesn't think it's particularly funny.

Poor guy lol.

I will have to talk to him about acceptance.

It is not a pretty picture but I am relieved it is your dog you are talking about.
For 1 second before opening the thread, my heart stopped and I wondering if you were talking about exA lol.
Hope your dog will learn how to behave towards the goats soon.

Actually this kind was very expensive and is much less restrictive, the strap ones cant be used unsupervised or for long periods as they stop them panting or drinking water and apparently their tongues can swell up and they choke. So believe it or not he's pretty comfortable and can eat and drink easily in it, it looks terrible but was the one the vet reccomended as the most comfortable and safe. But oh my, it does look dreadful! It's only for use at home when he can get to the goats anyway, not any other time.

Thanks for the explanation Ms M It is an interesting lesson that I need to keep learning --- that looks are deceiving and that the simple one can be more dangerous.

It is important to not jump to conclusions and do research . Glad that you did just that.

I was really surprised too, I went in with the expectation that I'd be buying a thin strap not a big rubber face cage, ugh! But he's shown his intentions clearly, he thinks those goats look like a lot of fun, so, it is absolutely the right thing to do. I need to be able to leave the house confidently.

The good news for him is that he has a home with you and I agree - acceptance is the perfect work for him.

He'll think it's great if you go trick or treating with him and people start handing out doggie treats! If he came to my door he would get lots of them!
