My divorce is going to happen my exAH is paying for it. He wants to marry the 24 yr old at our church back home...lol I wished him the best of luck and told him I hope he has a nice life. Their isn't much I can or want to say. I have adjusted well to my new town and job :) I have been dating this one man for a couple of weeks. It has been interesting. He does not drink, smoke or do drugs. He is a great dad to his son. He has his own house, washes, goes to work everyday...the opposite of my ex. Idk where our dating will lead to but it's nice to go out and have fun and have normal conversation with a man. My ex and I never talked abt anything it was always one sided....the world revolved around him. I thank the Alanon program for giving me the tools to enjoy my new life :)

@PP I was amazed he washes...lol I am not used to a man being nice. He also pays for all our dates and doesn't want me spending my money. I was mind blown...hahaha It is experience getting to know someone like him. Idk what my feelings are for him and I don't have to figure it out today. For today I can just enjoy his company.

I can remember dating a really nice man after I was divorced for about 2 years. He was so good to me. I didn't have feelings for him and I liked how he treated me. He went away on vacation for a week or two. Every day I would check the calendar for the date. One day I caught myself counting the number of days before he returned. "What!!!!!?????? Why do I care when he gets home? He's just a nice guy to me." We dated intensely for 3 years after that until I moved away. Sometimes, love sneaks up on us quietly with those really nice guys. Just sayin'. :^)

Oh that is so good to hear! There are nice guys (and ladies) out there and Al Anon gives us the tools so that we can make better choices in the future. Hugs to you and thank you for sharing your success in working the program, too!!
