This is Glencoe in the Highlands. Its a glaciated valley quite high above sea level. The mountains were hidden by cloud that day but its truly a mysterious, powerful  place. Its quite intimidating, your surrounded by rocky mountains, its usually quite dark due to the depth of the Glen or valley. I thought I would share these with you because whenever I am in Glencoe I always feel quite small and its a place that puts your ego back in its place. Its clear evidence of a power greater than me, right there for me to see and feel. Its a tough, no nonsense kind of place, raw and wild and it tells me a thing or two. It tells me that there are forces beyond me and what I understand and its okay to not understand and just be with it. I dont know if im explaining myself very well but I hope you enjoy the pictures.x

Thanks LC  Beautiful and untamed. I do understand and can sense the power of the Highlands from your insightful experience of the terrain. The reading yesterday also pointed out that HP can be found in a whisper .

Elcee - those are wonderful pictures of some very special mountains. I remember the first time that I saw Glencoe, that moment as one drives through the narrow rocks at the top, it definitely put me in my place!!

Thank you, cathy, its two extremes, one formed by ice and one by wind. Its the same feeling though. I love that you have seen some of
Scotland milkwood and now ive saw a teeny bit of italy, I like that wee connection. X
