Mark and Chuck: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you. May the Lord give you peace and joy today and every day as you craft a marriage to last with your HP in the center of your relationship.
If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see? (Lewis Caroll)
Thanks all. I am so touched by all of this. It's amazing. It got very real at the rehearsal. Families meeting for the first time. Very emotional. Mother in law was having some issues and said some more disturbing things but our priest is highly Alanon involved and reminded me not to give power away to others or let them determine the meaning or how much this wedding means to us. She was in better spirits this morning anyhow. It's all going to be great!
My MIL used to speak in Hungarian so that neither I nor my Italian sister-in-law could understand what she was saying. That was disturbing, too, and I recognized her for who she was and figured my husband at the time could take care of his Mom. My job was to take care of me by letting her say what she was going to say no matter what I did or didn't do. I chose to focus on my FIL who treated me with so much genuine love and care and let my MIL spin her wheels for whatever deep-seated issues she had that were there long before my SIL or I appeared on the scene. Many hugs today and some silent cheers that'll go up when you and Chuck sign the marriage certificate. (((M)))
(((M))) There is no guarantee in love but one - that your HP will be with you every step of the way. There is still time to say "I don't." Is that what you want to say? If not - you've got 20 minutes for a group hug before you get out there to say your "I dos."

Congratulations to the both of you! By the time you read this, you will be married. A silent shout went out from Michigan and a couple of pink balloons in your honor, Mark and Chuck.

Don't know if your wedding was outside or not but I hope you had the same great weather that we had in DC for the fireworks last night. Wishes for lots of future happiness. Your story definitely gives me lots of hope.

Thanks hotrod. The suspense was killing me. You're right, he couldn't have gone wrong either way but believe it or not, I had picked the correct one as pinkchip.
