Yep summer is here in AZ......and going outside during the day can be not so good. I was outside cleaning cat boxes early in the morning and I had to use the hose on myself to cool off. I'm waiting on July 15th when the monsoons start.....and I pray to HP to PLEASE bring some this year. I just love good monsoons.
I hope you had a good meal....I had chicken fajita's......mmm mmm good!!
((( hugs )))

It feels like it has already been summer here in the South East for 2 months. But I'm trying to find the good in it instead of grumbling about cabin fever (having to stay indoors in the AC). 1 blessing is how wonderful pinestraw smells when it's being baked in the midday sun. Happy Summer to you too, Neshema & everybody here.
Summer, what's that? It's been summer here since March, LOL!
Cathy, I don't know about you but the monsoons just aren't as dramatic now as they were 15 years ago, don't you agree? I love monsoon season, but I hate the humidity that it brings here and the relief is always so short lived and the storms are so sporadic now. I swear that Gilbert and Mesa get dumped on while we sit up here in the wind tunnel of dust just begging for the rains to come, LOL!
CleartheFog: I understand the cabin fever because we stay indoors a lot from April until October here in AZ. I just think of the alternative: Minnesota for 4 months in the winter when you have to stay indoors just to stay warm AND then go outside and warm up your car, scrape off the ice, shovel the driveway, defrost your fingers, etc. And, what I hated most about the cold was that I'd bundle up in warm jackets, gloves, scarves, and hats only to get overheated at the stores and then have to peel off layers and either sweat or carry around a large winter coat for an hour. I prefer the heat honestly. At least the most I have to carry is a light sweater in case it's too cold in the store, LOL!
And, with all that said, I am going to express my gratitude for the invention of air conditioning!!!!

I love the monsoons looking out the window or sitting on the porch watching the lighting....not so much the haboobs...then the rain. What I'm not so happy about is the electricity going out which it does a lot up here. Then no AC. And your right south gets all the fun while we sit here watching the news with hope hope hope it comes.
Elizabeth...your in AZ?
