This past week hasn't been the easiest I've ever had. But, one foot in front of the other, you know.  Cat peed on one of my pillows to cheer me up; I threw it out and the next day he peed on my other pillow- he always knows just how to make things better! No pillows for me for a while because I can't afford anything new right now-ugh. Find a place, throw out garbage, pack, every letter I open and phone-call I answer seem to be bad news, it just keeps coming!!! Yesterday was a crazy busy day that involved travelling far and wide and some really crappy medical news for me to really lift my spirits; daughter decided to dislocate her elbow too so we ended up in the ER where we learned she had just bruised it and was fine, lol. Thats a very long bus trip just to have the triage nurse raise his eyebrows and say 'everyone's elbow looks like that it's just a bit swollen" lol. I'm not letting any of it get to me; it's all happening for a reason I'm sure, to make sure I don't get complacent perhaps.

So anyway this morning being saturday I planned to sleep in a bit but was woken early by one of daughter's friends, her mum was busy and had to have her car full of stuff and was it OK if she stayed for an hour...OK... we decided to take the dog for a walk in our local park after that and when we got there, there was a farmers market set up...so no running for the dog and he was not happy. BUT we did buy and eat the nicest, sweetest teeny little locally grown mandarins I have ever tasted and that is what I am choosing to remember about today- walking in the park in the sun eating the best mandarins I have ever tasted and having ridiculous rhyming conversations with daughter..."Mum can I dye my hair" "No don't you dare" "But that's so unfair" "Go complain to the mayor" lol giggles are free...

If I have to eat this elephant one bite at a time I'm going to make sure I have something tasty to wash down each bite with. Life doesn't have to suck just because it's challenging right now!

I looove it. I don't know if you are into the cards but I can completely imagine there are 2 dogs off in the distance baying at that moon- i guess it could be the sun but I saw it as the moon anyway. I didn't know you painted. Gorgeous!

 i still see something "aquatic" about it..like this serene clean ocean somewhere where the fish/aquatic life are just hanging out, being peaceful......isn't it funny how folks can look at the same pic and see different stuff.....veeeery interesting and kinda cool....goes to show how different and unique we are

They sure are! The rock on the left in the first pic looks like the body of the sphinx. Cant tell if that one is a photo or a painting?

My cat of many years loved to claim pillows and new things that entered the house, a small dish with a few morsels for a few days took care of this problem- they will not pee where they eat. If only this technique worked for all of life's speed bumps

LOL bud I don't know about sleeping with a dish of cat morsels next to my head but I'll try it with some of the other things he likes to pee on! He's just not allowed in my room anymore because of the peeing on my bed but somehow he found a way to get in twice last week and surprise me

Deb, they are cheapo crappy what-ever that synthetic fairy-floss stuff is pillows and I put the first one in the machine; it turned into something other than a pillow and will never go back into shape again. The second one I just chucked; why bother should have hand-washed them but, given the way the pee-smell tends to come back it was a machine wash or nothing I decided.
Wonder if I could use the feathers from the destroyed doona to make a new pillow? There's a thought
