I would be snug in excellent soil with warm sunshine warming my face and able to enjoy the moment since just for today I have no obligations or outstanding issues. How lucky is that?! How simple my life can be. Sometimes I struggle with the simplicity of it all - silly me
Its 8.30 in the morning here and I woke up a few hours ago with the first birdsong. I've had a lovely long bath, made up a new yogurt batch, watered the veggie plot, fed the dog and cats, had a good breakfast, and meditated as best I could. Pottering is one of my favourite things.
Hubbie slept in the spare bedroom last night after a couple of days of trying to destabilise things between us. (If I was a plant he would be the farmer in the next field shouting at the wind. Can plants block their ears?!)
I still have a bit of a niggle and a knot in my stomach but that is just my silly old brain revisiting the events of the last two days. On balance I can tell that I'm still enjoying my own peace. I've felt a tiny bit of guilt about enjoying myself so much this morning - but that is just old habits and I'm knocking them on the head. Just for today I'm going to keep it simple and remember my forget-me-not flowers! Someone get me a blue bonnet!! I might be going a little bit crazy, but I'm smiling anyway
Milkwood, I so enjoyed the pictures you painted in your share. A blue bonnet - representative to me of the peace and serenity that we can choose to receive in our openness to allowing the God of our understanding to replace our worrisome thoughts with His/Hers/Its. (((MW)))
Lol Grateful - you have a much gentler and more beautiful take on the blue bonnet than I!
I was picturing an eccentric looking english woman abroad skipping, in a manner far too demented for her age, through the meadows whilst clutching the rim of her blue bonnet over her ears! La di da
Oh! Well, then, Milkwood - skip away my friend through the meadows with your ears covered. Whole different picture for me on that one. Maybe you'll run into Tasha Tudor(I think that's her name) or......................drumroll.................my beloved who I know is probably still searching for me. Keep looking, Liam, and please compliment Milkwood on her bonnet.
very sweet post! I think I told you my Mother decorated our wedding cake with forget me nots and daffodils. so pretty.
the first bird i hear is a huge golden rooster crowing outside the open slider in my bedroom! lol then piggy grumping as she woke up, and then kissed by dogs! lol
again nice share, sounded serene.....
