to bring myself closer to the family look. All the beautiful flowers.  Hawaii has only two seasons so we FLOWER!! all the time.  This avatar is of my favorite flower which comes in two colors.  I have the red one in file and show this, the Jade version.  It is a very stunning flower in shape, size, color character.  Right now it isn't blooming except in this file...Blue Jade, Mahalo Akua...Thank you God.    (((((hugs))))) smile

 

The attachments show only 3 varieties of blue jade leis.

It is not very fragrant leaving that up to your imagination.  The shape and context and color are mesmerizing.  Lei makers will use this bloom in making leis which are very stunning and command a high value.  (((hugs))) smile

A jade flower sounds beyond exotic!
I've just looked up the symbolism of jade and the first entry said 'jade is said to bless whatever it touches'. I didn't bother to look any further, that just summed you up so perfectly Jerry! Have a good day

Wow that flower is different from anything I've seen and the color is incredible!  Thanks for sharing it Jerry.   I'm hoping more people change their avatars to flowers I've never seen.  This is fun!

Creating a garden on the board together is soooooooooooooooo "happy making." And it is free, hypoallergenic, non-toxic and non-alcoholic enjoyment of what is in our world. Raven - please help me understand your flowers. What are they and have they been artificially monkey-faced?

I had to change again to something more towards my state. I was going home yesterday and all the Saguaro Cactus is starting to bloom. The desert can be very pretty when spring comes.

el-cee these flowers are mostly used by lei makers, those strings of flowers worn around the neck mostly and also can be used in hoku the lei worn around the head.  Jade either in red or the Jade/green-blue color make absolutely gorgeous leis.  I will get a picture and post it.  smile

Wow, Jerry!  Saw the leis.  Spectacular!  I love that color~~~   Raven!  I WAS amazed by all those different orchids.  Almost clapped my hands in delight.  My favorite was the dove.  No words to describe it.  Thank you for showing us those amazing flowers, J & R.
