This is Rose, From time to time I have been in the rooms and I have found that people are talking about food. Who is cooking what, oh let me have that recipe, Oh that sounds good. All it does is make everyone hungry!! So I have decided to put all this food talk to good use.
We are putting together a cook book that will be made up of entirely of Miracles In Progress Members recipes. All rooms are invited to participate because this is a Miracles In Progress venture. After the recipes are collected through e-mail, they will be put into a spiral binder. The spiral binder/book will have usual topics such as Deserts, Main dishes: chicken, beef, seafood ( this section should be very interesting and have allot of trout dishes from Al-Anon), vegetarian etc...
All that would like to contribute their favorite dishes, please send in via e-mail to recipe@12stepforums.net Please have it in this format; name of dish, all ingredients and their amounts, step by step exact directions for cooking, yield (number can feed) and submitted by nickname (and/or real name if you want). If you want you can even submit a photo with your digital camera along with your e-mail of the dish.
Once the spiral binder/book is made, we will have copies of the book for sale at a very reasonable cost plus shipping. These orders will be taken a few months from now.
So lets all get cooking!
yours in recovery
Rose

I sooooo can't wait to see the cookbook!! I can only imagine what incredible chefs we have here in chat. Who knows...we may one day have the only MIP Cooking Channel around! And all the dishes will have NO ALCOHOL in them, lol!
Hi kids, Have a one hundred year soup recipe from Louisiana. It mostly circles around veggies for me and I am known to throw clams and crab into it. can of green beans. Okrra, handful of fresh frozen corn. bay leaf (replace as needed). cream of mushroom soup. with this being a one hundred year soup recipe - all ya have to do is keep adding your fav ingredients - I usually bake mine in the oven at 250 degrees, say for a half hour or so. Generaly I toss cornbread dumplings or muffins on top. My favorite herbs in this are salt, peppercorns, cumin and tabasco, to taste. Thats my story - I'm sticking to it!!!! Gentle paths n light n love to all not_bob
