a reason to post

I am under a lot of stress. It seems that I will not get health insurance until they fix a problem I am having getting it. I am waiting for a response & am on pins & needles. I would rather not say what the real issue is because I feel that it is private & that mentioning it would be a bad idea even on here.

Otherwise, I am doing OK. I feel a sense of relief after struggling to fall asleep last night. It took awhile but finally I fell asleep. I am so grateful when I get sleep because I am an insomniac. I have had trouble sleeping since around the time I joined the program. I guess it is like a cross I have to bear these days. I just wish it wouldn't make me drag around in life & that I could still give whatever I need to give w/o stepping on someone's toes. When I have trouble with sleep, I am crabby & confused, needless to say. There are probably a lot of people out there who have sleep problems. I know I am not alone. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I pray for a good night's sleep for everyone on my prayer list. Struggling or not, we are all in this together.

Yesterday I was thinking about all the time I have been in Al anon. For one thing, even when I didn't go to our meetings, I went to all the open AA meetings I could get to. I sometimes I  feel that I never really left the program, I just went another direction w/ it.

To all of you who are new: hang in w/ the program no matter what. Post on MIP, go to meetings, do whatever it takes. Go to any lengths. Don't ever give up!

Even if you slip or relapse, come back. I did. I never really gave up on myself. I just took a detour.

Kathleen

I was under some stress when I lost my doctor but all went well in the end. You can be grateful they can not deny you insurance because of any pre-existing conditions. The problems now are what insurance will cover and where you can go

I pray you will have a good outcome with whatever it is ....you are not alone

Take care of you.....

Hi, Kathleen. It has been my experience that my HP supplies all my needs - even medical care. If you've done all you can to follow the proper channels, then the outcome is now in your HP's hands. If we know our HP has our best interests in mind, we can even let go of anxieties about insurance company hoopla.
