My name is slogan_Jim and I am a grateful member of Al-Anon.
I am feeling very blessed today. The other day, I was feeling very low on myself because of my inflated ego and arrogant sense of self-worth. I was upset that I could have been doing more....making more....why me? blah blah.
Then, I look around me. Read things on the news.....and I realize that I have it very good...I have my health....i have friends....I have growth...I have a purpose....and, I have a bit of money.....I have a good job....I am solely responsible for me at this stage.
I used to be like so many others. I've worked those crummy jobs for low-pay, lived beyond my means, took the advice of those that I shouldn't have. Bad things could have happened, but here I am. I am the leader in my life, with my higher power guiding me.
Whatever happens, I know he has a reason for it. He always has.
I agree with grateful...gratitude lists are what the winners do Jim better than asprin or zolof or whatever to overcoming the poor meeeees and why meeees and so bads and such. Good job. Thanks for bringing it home. ((((hugs))))
