(((hopes))) You're not alone, I'm grateful that you're here, and that we all can share our recovery here in a safe place. Apple cider vinegar works wonders with a sore throat too (helpful for so many other things as well).
(((hugs)))
Hello Hopes - that is a lovely gratitude list and a great read for first thing in the morning, thank you.
May I joint you?
I'm grateful that you are here and that you've started this thread.
I'm grateful for the sunshine and beautiful birdsong that signals spring is on its way.
I'm grateful for my smoochy dog and cats.
I'm grateful for this board and the friends here who understand so well.
I'm grateful for my health.
I'm grateful for my home.
I'm grateful for my friends and family.
I'm grateful for the lessons that I'm learning.
I never knew about zinc or apple cider vinegar for sore throats - so I'm grateful for those tips as well
Zinc and ACV are wonderful for so many things! There's a lot of info online; sure beats expensive Doctor and rx payments for minor things! I take ACV twice daily in warm water with raw local honey, and it's helped my severe allergies almost magically:) I'm not a doctor, and I'm just sharing my personal experiences...lol;)
I have had insomnia much of my life... part of being in an alcoholic family- where things always seemed to go wrong.
I know now, that as a person, I was not wrong. I was meant to be.
At one time my life was a living nightmare-laying wake at night, and wretchedly tired during the day... in the end I had to give in to that fatigue- and get a rest and a nanny nap whenever I could. Trying to control it only made it worse.
It took time. I found that after a nap I made much better decisions... so gradually my panic and shame got a little better...
and I took steps- the main one was not to isolate myself...
I have been having insomnia this past year, which I've never had before. Ever since the death of my ex husband this past July.
I have found a natural pill that relaxes and helps , it is L -Theanine, I take 1 or 2 a couple of hours before bedtime. They seem to help, its an amino acid.
