Hanging in there

I haven't posted in a while - been feeling out of sorts. I'm very unhappy with my job. It's not the work - it's the micro-manager boss who loves to point out any little mistake. I am tired of her snide remarks. Being pro-active and taking my time looking for something - being careful this time so as not to make another mistake. I basically took this job out of desperation after being unemployed for 6 months.

No news from my son. He's out there somewhere - I have no idea what's going on with him. I feel like I have lost him forever. I can only pray that he realizes how sick he is and seeks help. And sticks with a program. I am just heartbroken.

Thank you all for being here.

(((Rose)))) I hope you find a better work situation and a supervisor who is respectful of others.  Isn't it great though that you know you aren't stuck just are gearing up to leave on your terms when ready.  People stay stuck in bad situations, relationships etc because of fear.  Give yourself credit for practicing the second part of the Serenity Prayer "the courage to change the things I can."

I'm sorry about your son.  I hope he finds his way to recovery. We can pray and ask hp to please continue to take care of him.  Hope you get good rest and tomorrow is a little better day for you.  Prayers for you and your son.  TT

((Rose)) Sorry to hear about the boss acting that way toward you. I have always found my best jobs on the heels of the some of my crappiest jobs, seems those great jobs pop up just after you commit to something that is "just acceptable", I bet your perfect job is just around the corner! Son has his HP watching him for you now, you can take it easy for a bit, he is in good hands, the best really.

Hi Rose, sorry about your boss. Being that much of a micro manager would probably mean she has a lot of issues too, to need to control to that extent. I will say a prayer for both of you, and I absolutely feel for you because working like that is suffocating. Prayers for your son too.

Good Morning Rose

I saw you on last night and I was hoping you would let us know how you were. Let this job be a stepping stone. Spend a hour a night looking though all the job websites and pray something else will come along soon. Also stopping into a employment agency and putting in a application might help you find new employment. Let HP guide you in finding new employment and something will come along.

I'm sorry that you also have to think about what your son might be doing. Is he safe and getting it together or suffering somewhere. I pray he has the sense to know he can get help if he wants it and has a roof over his head and not dying in the streets. I think about it myself and pray my son has enough fear in him to not get to this level of addiction. But you know I have to let it go and pray for my sanity or it will consume me.

Take care and don't be a stranger because you shouldn't be alone and it help to be here more than you think. This is what we are all here for.

((( hugs )))

((((Big hugs to all of my friends here))))

Thank you for your responses. I know when I come with my problems or just to vent someone is always here. I am never alone.

I am going through the websites and sending out my resume to at least one company every day. I have faith there's a great job just around the corner. As for my son - I have turned him over to his HP. I love him dearly, but his HP loves him more.

I'll try not to be a stranger :)
