Well, the saga continues, I went to a funeral today for a friend, came home, asked my AH if he would like me to heat up some lunch for the both of us, he says no thanks, I ate already-- hands me a half empty bottle of prescription drugs.  (on top of the only God knows how much wine he drank already).  Says since he relapsed he does not want to live, he then went to the bed to sleep.  Well, I watched him a bit and decided that he was more out of it than usual and so called 911.  He fought with 4 ambulance guys and one cop before being hauled off cuffed to the stretcher. 

I figure if he wanted attention he got it.  At the ER they said he did have a high BAC and drugs so the next step for him is crisis evaluation.  I stopped in, paid his hospital fee, turned him over to the doctors and God.  I hope he does well and gets help, but if not I can't stop him from doing it again--just glad the kids were in school and didn't see any of it.

Our therapist told me that he was acting out of revenge and was reacting to the fact that I no longer react the way I used to (thank you Al-Anon) and he is trying to regain control over me. 

Well, now to focus on me and the kids!!!

oh no! he must feel so miserable! I am sorry you went thru this, and YES thank goodness the kids were not home. Its great you called for help too.

I love it that you are taking care of you. also appreciate you coming here to let us know!

Same exact thing happened with my ex A. He gave me the finger as they strapped him down and they almost tazed him for fighting them.

I don't think he would of handed you the drug bottle if he wanted to kill himself. I'm glad you did the next right thing and pray it might be a wake up for him.

Thanks to all for the support, I think he has to go thru the trauma to learn the big lesson. He was cursing me out and the cop who is my friend was yelling at him and I just told AH I loved him and that he was sick and to be well.

(((((Jilly))))) hugs and prayers for you both...whatever the motive this is the dis-ease and it touched alot of people.  Bless your heart...keep it well  and treat it good.  God grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, the courage to change the things we can and the wisdom to know the difference.   smile
