HP has given me a sense of humor

Hi MIP Family.
Here is a small laugh for the day.  My partner and I went to Jones Beach today to walk the beach, have lunch and feed the seagulls  We purchased a  .99 cent package of hot dogs from the Supermarket for the gulls and went to Subways and purchased a  $5,00 Foot Long to share.  We arrived at the beach set up our blanket and went for our walk  We arrived back a half hour later to find  the gulls  all over our blanket.  Further  investigation revealed that  they had devoured the foot long and had started on the hot dogs  .  Using program we laughed , gave the remaining hot dogs and took pictures,

We commented that several years ago this would have seemed like a real disaster
Thanks to alanon we could laugh.
Hope you had a good day

I've seen gulls feed and that must have been a herd of feathers.  They can and will take food right out of your hand.  What a picture that makes. ((((hugs)))) smile

They probably all had a group meeting later and talked about that generous couple who left them such a good lunch to share.

Thanks for sharing such a fun part of your day, Betty. It was a good reminder not to take life or myself too seriously. Your story and your program share made me smile.

Well, I think it was just observant bunch of gulls...they see people coming and they are "trained" to know that folks have foods on them, so they scoped you out and raided you,  LOLOL...Becuz I love animals so much, I would have laughed at it too......Thanks to you, those birds got a really classy buffet......I am glad you two had a nice time at the beach, even tho you got "robbed" by some sea gulls...

My A brother is a marine mechanic around cape cod area in MA and he actually made friends w/ a sea gull...that thing followed him around, and chirped at him to come feed him/her,  yea, it was funny..This unusual friendship lasted for quit a while......it would walk right up to my bro. and eat out of his hand, sit on his shoulder for a bit, "R" is like me...He loves animals...He was really upset when the sea gull just disappeared suddenly....He was out to sea on a new boat, trying the electronic equip. and they were gone for a couple to 3 weeks and came back....No Mr. Seagull...."R" really missed him..........
