thank you

I can't begin to know how to thank all of you for taking the time to share with me after my venting last night. I was a wreck and in fact there was nothing to worry about, everything was okay, but what I was reduced to because I didn't know was awful. I'm not one to give up, so I will continue to participate and believe that I will find my place in the scheme of this network. I was worried that my expression may have sounded judgmental toward the program, which is all of you, of us, but that was not my intention; however, your words have brought clarity. I reach out with hugs to all of you, thank you

That's ok, no need to apologize.

So everything is ok, thats good. Wow, if all problems were solved that quickly.

I didnt find you had any negative judgement toward the program. It didnt sound like that at all.
More like panic. Glad all is well.

Hugs, Bettina

"I am not one to give up"...okay we gotta go to class together...I'll carry your books even.  The class??  Learning to Surrender.   God the way I put it is "I don't roll over for anything" and the consequence for me is that while everyone else goes on with their lives as if nothing happens I'm acting like General Patton without an army.   I'm still learning.  If you have the ODAT daily reader go to page 135...May 14th and read Dr. Harry M. Tiebout's idea on the difference twix submission and surrender.   (((((hugs))))) smile

If I'm carrying your books you must be having the lunch...I can't find it anywhere.

Morning, Angie. Glad you've relaxed. I do hope you continue to come back to the board and continue with Al-Anon. It helps us learn how to relax even when we have no idea of what is going on with our As. We learn to focus on our own lives and have to practice, practice, practice even with the recovery work. Without it, we bounce from one crisis in our minds to another with lots of emotional highs and lows and no real serenity. With Alanon, we learn how to deal with that and end up having fewer mental crises, emotional roller coaster rides, and much more peace. Nothing you posted sounded judgmental. You were sharing your thoughts, your fears, and how you felt honestly. Good start to your program of recovery.
