"The Beauty of the world has two edges, One of Laughter,

One of Anguish, Cutting the heart asunder."

Dear Bettina

I do believe we have experienced both.   Before alanon i only wanted the joy and laughter.

Alanon tools have taught me how to o handle the tears and the pain.

You are such a gracious lady and have added so much to the Board

Thank you.

This made me think of the Twilight Zone where all the young people had to choose like one of 3 models to look like. Hence, everyone would look like everyone else. No individuality. No differences. No opposites. No pain, no gain-I hate this saying but I'm afraid it's true, Lyne

I know that you have been through so much with your ex husbands death. Thank you for so skillfully writing about there is a lot of difficulty on life's terms.  Of course I absolutely want life on my terms and I know where that gets me.

When I have grieved successfully the past no longer holds power over me.  I would never have imagined I could get to a place where I could see growth coming out of tragedy but I do.

Maresie.
